How to Prevent Closing Multiple Tabs in Chrome

Picture this: you're deep into your work, managing multiple tabs in Chrome, when suddenly, in a moment of distraction, you click on the 'Close Chrome' button instead of 'Close Tab'.

In an instant, Chrome shuts down, taking all your tabs with it. It's a frustrating scenario, one that we've all encountered. But fret not, this guide is here to equip you with the knowledge to prevent such mishaps and safeguard your tabs.

Firefox and Internet Explorer had this feature by default; however, for some reason, Chrome does not. It is, therefore, very easy to lose work if you accidentally close the main Chrome window instead of closing a particular tab in Chrome.

Fortunately, there's an add-on for Chrome called Chrome Toolbox (developed by Google) that addresses this issue. It brings the missing feature to Chrome, preventing the closure of multiple tabs. Once you install the Chrome Toolbox extension, you'll be alerted if you're about to close multiple tabs with a prompt message: "Are you sure you want to close all tabs?"

It's a mystery why this feature isn't enabled or readily available in Chrome, but the good news is, there's a simple solution. With just a few clicks, you can safeguard your tabs from accidental closure in Chrome, relieving you from the fear of losing your work.
