HP Pavilion DV7-6C01EA Laptop ReviewReview of the HP Pavilion DV7 which I shall using now I'm working remotely or on clients premises conducting presentations or coding.

The HP Pavilion DV7-6C01EA has a high spec at a reasonable price, typical of HP, which is why I like HP equipment.

The laptop features an AMD quad-core A6-3430MX processor clocked at 1.7GHz, 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD, 17.3" screen, DVDRW, Webcam, Bluetooth, biometric reader and Windows 7 Home Premium 64. Interestingly, it features a dual graphics chip setup, which I haven't seen before, and it makes a lot of sense. The two chips are an AMD HD6520G and an HD7670M, the former used for gaming graphics and using more battery power, while the latter is a more energy-efficient power-saving chip used for everyday applications and Windows itself.
While the laptop seems quite large and heavy (my previous laptop was a much smaller HP TX1250 with a 12.1" screen), it does pack a serious punch regarding performance. It can run Word, Excel, Photoshop, Visual Studio, SQL Server, EVE Online and web browsing simultaneously all day. It would be more than capable of replacing a desktop machine if you are short on space.
Although small, the Beats Audio system sounds good, and the subwoofer delivers a decent bass for its size.
This is a great all-rounder, capable of being a gaming laptop and a productive workhorse with more than enough storage and memory. It also features an empty drive bay for an additional hard drive!
