Champion Points are awarded into one of three constellations - Craft, Warfare and Fitness. Craft is devoted to utility and crafting, Warfare is devoted to actions resulting in damage, healing, and mitigation. Fitness is devoted to core mechanics and health. Within each constellation group individual stars are represented by a specific bonus. Some are passive, meaning they are always active whilst others are slottable which means that you must have them added to the champion bar to make the active. You can have 4 active slottable bonuses per constellation group, for a total of 12.
You can earn Champion Points by completing activities that grant experience like questing, exploring dungeons, conquering Cyrodiil, braving the challenges of Trials and the Dragonstar Arena, clearing delves, or killing monsters. Champion Points are split between the three constellation groups, so if you have 600 champion points, you can spend 200 in Fitness, 200 in Warfare and 200 in the craft.
