Whilst on Holiday in Germany, I found that I had inadvertently followed the footsteps of my Great Grandfather nearly 100 years previously.
The very name conjures up an image of a land of imposing ice formations, shining glaciers and arctic temperatures. Sparkling fjords, dramatic volcanic peaks, sheer sea cliffs, sweeping golden beaches and crunchy lava flows make up this amazing land of fire and ice.
Chatelherault Country Park is a country park in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire, Scotland. The name comes from the French town of Châtellerault, which the nearby town of Hamilton is twinned with.
A visit to the Red Kite Centre at Gigrin Farm which is located in the heart of Mid Wales, overlooking both the Wye and Elan Valleys, and just half a mile from the market town of Rhayader.
The National Trust are currently undergoing a major conservation project to replace the leaking roof on the 17th-century mansion house at Dyrham Park.
I was out in Glasgow for a meeting and had the rest of the day free so I brought my camera with me and went exploring Glasgow City Centre.

Getting back into hill walking following a break by tackling the Criffel, near Dumfries. It was a lot harder than we thought it'd be!
The annual Moffat sheep races celebrate the town's sheep farming and centuries old woollen industry. The event is made possible thanks to local shepherds who train their flocks all year for this event!
